Welcome to the WCCC Men’s Golf Association Website for 2012!

As we get ready for the New Year I would like to remind everyone of our Mission Statement: “To promote fellowship through activities and events which create participation, interaction and friendly competition among MGA golfing members of Walnut Creek Country Club.”

The schedule and tournament guide for 2012 is about to be posted. Our goal is to provide the best tournaments that can be enjoyable and competitive across all handicaps and playing ability. If there is anything we can do to improve please let us know, we value your opinions and ideas.

*       Date:             Saturday – February 25th

 

*       5B5B7BCourse:      Pecan

 

*       Time:            12:30 p.m. Shotgun  

 

*       Entry Fee:   $40.00 per player

 

*       Payout:        1st and 2nd Net and Gross within each flight.

 

*       Team:           Pick your own team or Golf Shop Pairing  

 

*       Format:         Two-man event - Golfers will play the red tees starting on hole 1, then the white on hole 2, and then the blue on hole 3.  You will keep alternating in that order (red, white, and blue) through the 18 holes.  After each player holes out their golf ball the best net ball and best gross ball will be recorded by each team.

 

*       Flights:         Flighted by total team handicap - Minimum of 10 teams and maximum 12 teams per flight if at all possible. 

 

*       Tees:            Red, White, and Blue tees

 

*       Rules:           MGA / USGA rules apply

 

*       Handicaps:  80% of handicap based on the white tee handicap for the Oak Course.  The cards will be dotted and strokes given where they fall for each of the six holes. 

 

*       Activities:     Lunch before shotgun, beer, and beverages served after           the round in the Pavilion.  Scoring will be in Pavilion.

 

*    Reminder:   Tournament is worth 20 points toward TOP 50

MGA TOP 50:

TOP 50 Points will be updated and posted on the website by the end of each month (first posting will be in March). MGA members can accumulate Top 50 Points by attending MGA Events and MGA Business Meetings. Click Here for More Information on Top 50 Points.

The Last Event of the year is a complimentary event, including a free gift, for all top 50 Members. The member that accumulates the most points is awarded "TOP GUN" status at this event. This is a great benefit and makes Top 50 Points worth striving for!
